I am a freelance art-director ¹ and graphic designer based in Hamburg, Germany. My work is in defining the right form for a given content — by balancing typography ²
, colour ³
, image ⁴
and texture ⁵
while translating it onto paper and screen.
While studying, I interned at Slanted Publishers ⁶ for a semester, which had great impact on my understanding of typography. After that I worked for Fargo Studios ⁷ until my graduation in late 2014. From 2015 – 2019 I worked for Paperlux Studio ⁸ and had the opportunity to grow as a designer working for various clients like Daimler Mobility, Hermès, Moët Hennessy and Treuleben 1917.
Now I mostly work in the fields of corporate, brand and editorial design. Recently, I have spend a lot of time designing and building websites. I teach typography classes and mentor students’ final projects at Design Factory International. Other than that I try to keep it simple —
live slow and die old.
